The Black Welsh Mountain sheep is a colour type of Welsh mountain sheep bred for the terrain and the hills in Wales.
Black Welsh Mountain fibre is short, thick and densely stapled and is typically 24‒34 microns so it is a sturdy wool, but also feels supple in the hand, and of particular interest to hand spinners and weavers due to its natural chocolate brown to black colouration.
These rovings have been processed and carded in a small mill. Every endeavor has been taken to remove all particles, however, it is possible that small specks of VM may still be present.
