Jacob Breed British Sheepskin Rug

This small, soft, rare breed sheepskin rug is likely from a British Jacob breed of sheep or similar and is a combination of brown and cream spots, the distinctive colours of the breed.

The colouring of the rugs can look very different depending on the lighting, our photos have been taken outside under natural lighting with the exception of the rug laid flat, which was taken indoors under natural lighting. 

Tufty, woolly hair tops a tightly packed fleece, giving the rug a lovely padded depth.

There are small bald patches present around the edge, common on natural sheepskins and deliberately remaining to prevent the rug curling under.

Like all our rugs, it has been tanned in the UK and hand finished in Gelncroft’s Yorkshire Dales warehouse.
