Whitefaced Dartmoor

The Pullabrook flock are farmed traditionally within the Dartmoor National Park grazing the rolling hills around the village of Lustleigh as they have done for generations, every effort is made to farm this rare breed alongside nature with the flock grazing traditional wildflower pastures which is beneficial to the sheep and the ecology of the area.

The Whitefaced Dartmoor sheep are part of the living heritage of Devon and the moors, and are descended from the 17th Century native sheep of Dartmoor. With the pressures and targets of modern farming they have fallen out of favour and your purchase will help us give this rare breed a future, and in the spirit of keeping things local, these skins are prepared in Britain’s oldest traditional tannery 20 minutes from the farm in Buckfastleigh.
